Do the thing that you love. For Darrah, it was fashion. At 22 the only thing she knew that she was passionate about, was fashion. Through a string of connections, she got to get into the fashion industry. Sometimes you just have to follow the stream you're on, and you never know where you'll end up.
Later, Darrah would realize that fashion was maybe her passion, but wasn't the thing she was meant to do for a living.
